Yes you lot tin. If y'all have your download disc, but download information technology as normal and check Command Console to see if this app is applied. Mine did. Easy as that. Microsoft will ask if you want to register this WORD 2000 app just say yes.

Do note that Office 2000 is non compatible with any mod Os... Being able to install, & even use it, on Win x (some users have reported issues fifty-fifty installing it on Vista & later) doesn't make it uniform and may crusade issues.

I've had Office 2000 Pro running in my Windows 7 Home Premium desktop for a few years. Absolutely no issues with Word, Excel, and Access. Upgraded to Windows x and setup returns error messages and stalls. Compatibility fix doesn't piece of work either. Oh well. Seems MS could offering a reduced price for registered users.

You could endeavour the Compatibility Troubleshooter, if you haven't already done that. Only, as Paul wrote, Office 2000 isn't officially supported on Windows x, and then yous tin can't expect it to work properly.

I paid skilful money for Office 2000, had a "geek support" outfit install Windows ten—thought nothing of it—then later 30 days had passed, and I hated it, I institute out I could not change dorsum to Windows 7!
I accept the original CD installation discs and CD key and can not install/even play the CDs!
I JUST desire WORD and possibly, later practice some desktop publishing.
I know all about Libre Role only, I can't believe that Microsoft does not stand behind its products.

Since Office 2000 is now out of support (later on all, it is 17 years old), in that location isn't much you can do. The visitor which upgraded your computer to Windows 10 for you should have told you lot that you only had 30 days to get back to Windows 7.
If you are saying that Role 2010 was included when y'all first purchased your computer, y'all can restore the computer to factory defaults, of course.

Thank you for taking the time to help me out. I am well into my 60's and didn't think I would have to spend and so much time troubleshooting! I lost Function 2010 when I "restored" my computer after months of going from what was a hardware to software problems that even had me resorting to entering my password using the keyboard on the screen and a cursor…so I was told I needed another keyboard…then I installed a new "driver" about fourteen times... So, at present I evidently can't print a darn thing! Hehe. Thanks once more, from Toronto.

Which selection did you cull specifically? Note that "resetting" Windows 10 using the Settings app may wipe all of your installed programs, including just not limited to Office programs.

I also downloaded it to my windows 10 laptop (that did not come with discussion etc). I but kept hit ignore when I got the error box. I hit ignore multiple times until windows said information technology successfully loaded it.
